The new health bible for women.

Women all over the world flock to Dr. Uzzi Reiss not only for his cutting-edge approach women's health, but also for his attention to their individual needs.

An expert in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and other natural approaches to wellness, here Dr. Reiss brings his groundbreaking philosophy to readers everywhere, explaining how they can look and feel their best-and have the energy to get through their to-do list each day-by addressing four core wellness pillars.

As Dr. Reiss explains, to be a "natural superwoman" you don't need to spend endless hours in the gym, give up delicious food, or even take a plethora of expensive vitamins and supplements. Simple lifestyle changes are all women need to reach their maximum potential. Dr. Reiss dispels the myths about hormone replacement therapy with scientific evidence explaining how-if women choose to use them-natural hormones are safe and can have incredible benefits. But nutrition; mental, physical, and emotional activity; and ideal mood balance are three other equally important pillars to prepare a woman for the challenges she faces every day. The Natural Superwoman explains:

- which hormones can enhance energy, sexuality, and memory, heal dry skin, help sleep disorders, and eliminate night sweats;
- why women should take magnesium instead of calcium to guard against osteoporosis;
- what foods help promote sound sleep, weight loss, cardiovascular and bone health, energy, memory, relaxation, and much more; and<

Rating: out of 5 stars - Finally, a doctor advises from actual experience...
Toss those books that routinely advise 25mg to 100mg DHEA on the one hand, and warn about it's poitential to cause cancer on the other. Dr. Reiss explains -simply- how to determine your own individual dose. He wisely notes that -on average- we may only need 10mg to 15mg. Hey, doesnt that make total sense since that is the normal amount of DHEA a pre-menopausal woman makes per day??? I can't remember a book I read in recent times that that was packed with so much useful information. I could go on ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Best reference on bioidentical HRT so far
Although I will be eternally grateful to Suzanne Sommers for introducing me to bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, Uzzi Reiss's book is the best one I've read on the subject. It is organized in a way that makes it a fascinating first read, but also so you can use it as a reference for the future. He answered questions I have not been able to get answered elsewhere, and his love of healing and compassion for people, especially women, is evident throughout. I have no doubt that I will live a better, ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Not all suggestions in the book are easily accessible
The editorial review states: "Simple lifestyle changes are all women need to reach their maximum potential." Not so much. I would love to give this more stars, because this is a very informative book. I was expecting to be able to run out and buy supplements and start on a regimen that would make me feel better. But that can't happen because the first recommended bio-identical hormone therapy calls for something called "tri-est", which can only be purchased from compounding pharmacies with a prescription ... Rating: out of 5 stars - A Must Read for Women over 40
An excellent book full of useful information for any woman over 40 who wants to live her life at an optimal level. I wish I had had this information available when I was in my 40s. Dr. Reiss discusses the various aspects of hormone deficiency / excess, and how to remedy the situation if one chooses to. He emphasizes the need to discuss all these decisions with a qualified doctor. Many of the symptoms of hormone deficiency many women may not recognize as treatable, but in fact, they are. He provides the benefits ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Most authorative/experienced source of information on HRT and Supplements
Dr. Reiss has written an easily understood book based on years of experience as an OB-GYN and anti-aging specialist. Whether or not a woman is interested in taking HRT, she can educated choices as to what natural supplements (exa. DHEA, COQ10, melatonin,etc.) and actions she might take to enhance the total quality of her life based on the book's content. Actions that may certainly have the effect of a happier, healthier and more active life. I focus on the word action because Dr. Reiss gives specifics rather ... Read More
