Editorial Review:
Better Golf: A Skill Building Approach offers a breakthrough method for acquiring better golf skills. Julius Richardson, the first African American pro to be included in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Instructors in America, shows you how to get to the core of better scoring with a minimum of wasted effort. Richardson turns the spotlight directly on the learning process itself. He breaks the desirable skills of golf into components and offers intelligently sequenced drills to help you acquire them. Along with fine short game instruction, Richardson teaches Six Key Body Angles that put you in ideal anatomical position for ball striking. Touring pros use these angles with every swing. Through skill building practice, amateurs can start to acquire them, and their shots get better and better.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Julius Richardson - Master Golf Instructor
This is the first golf instruction book that really shows you the basics to improving your golf game! I have been playing golf on and off for many years. This book breaks down the entire golf game in very easy to understand steps. If you apply the six "basic angles" in the book and practice them you will surely see positive results! I'm a true believer in the concepts. Why? Because they work! They absolutely make sense! In fact you don't even need to swing a golf club to practice the angles. Get ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Very Different, Very Effective
I am somewhat biased because I know Julius, but I wouldn't know him if he wasn't a great teacher. He has a very unique approach that is completely different from the run-of-the-mill teacher and probably everyone else in the Top 100. As a golf professional, he was very instrumental in helping me take my game to the next level. I have seen him work with beginners and average players alike, and he gets results like no one else. His teaching approach is in this book, and anyone who gets it will benefit.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Great Instructor
Julius is the best golf instructors that I have taken a lesson from. Julius fixed flaws THAT EVEN DR. JIM SUTTIE COULDN'T FIX -and the best part about it was that it cost me half the price. I dropped my handicap down from a 20 to a (10-12) handicap - over a 3 month period taken 2-3 lessons/month. TRUST ME, when it comes to building a fundamental golf swing that is consistent, Julius is one of the best.
While some of the other top 100 golf instructors that I have taken from talk angles and formulas, ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - A Different Approach
I was a little skeptical when a friend suggested that I buy and read this book but after going completely through it, I was guite surprised how easy the reading was and it all tied together. I have read a ton of books, mags, tips on got but this was very different. I personally sought out Julius for lessons after reading his book and it has completely changed my approach to golf. His unique style makes learning golf not only fun but he incorporates real life situations with his examples. I highly recommend ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Correct Address Positions Lead to Better Golf
This is a different kind of instructional book on golf. Instead of focusing on mechanics and positions in the swing, the author keys on six angles vital to effective ball striking. Five are established in addressing the ball. All are clearly defined and illustrated. The book also contains some excellent drills to help the reader get into better positions at address. There are chapters on the short game and even a few pages on the swing itself. This is an excellent book for anyone above a 10- or 12-handicap ... Read More
