This is brought to you in this easily comprehensible succinct textbook..I unreservedly recommend this book to all medical students, especially those that dislike reading reams of text. This is one book that will not sit on your shelf collecting dust once you have graduated and will also function as a reference book."4th Year Medical Student. This is an excellent introductory text for anyone wishing to learn the principles of medical statistics through self-study.
Rating: - Very nice concise reference
This is one of my favorite statistical references and I always have it close at hand. It's often a good starting point and a nice bridge to statistical texts, or software statistical manuals, that provide more detail. I would recommend this text to anyone interested in statistics in healthcare / pharma. ... Read More
Rating: - brief but useful
This is a decent review of medical stats and is geared towards those who want a general understanding of what tests to use in what situations. If that's what you want than this is a decent one to check out. If you are looking for mathematical proofs and complete explainations or statistical theories than this is the wrong book to get since it has none of that. Sometimes it is a little too concise and gets confusing (I knew very little about medical stats when I first got this and had to use other sources ... Read More
