Rating: out of 5 stars - Bust A Groove & Dance
This game came out back in the late 90's (1998 to be specific) and I still play it hard! I love the different rhythms it contains. And the moves well... they are just awesome to look at and immitate. Addictive and fun. Love it!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Bust a Move to Bust a Groove!!!
This game is probably my all time favorite music game, 2nd only to Bust A Groove 2. While BAG1's music is drop dead catchy, and entertaining, BAG 2's scoring system improved on an already excellent game!

But this is a review of BAG 1. This game was the very first Playstation game I ever saw being played. My brother brought his Playstation and this game over to my house one Holiday, and I could not believe how much fun it was. It offers up multiple difficulty levels, and about 14 different characters. Some of the characters have to be unlocked. Each charcter has their own stage, with unlocked characters sharing the same stage with their bigger "brother" or "sister." My favorites are Shorty and Hamm.

This game has a very colorful interface. The female and male characters are quite enjoyable to watch perform. At some point you can even control the players moves, through a special training/Video phase, and its fun to see them move based on your controls.

Another feature I love is the fact that you can use a "jukebox" mode to listen to your favorite tune. So you can leave the music on, when you are studying or doing some other activity. Every song has a catchy beat, and it covers everything from American Pop to J-Pop to Rap (no bad words). However, Country is not represented, but I'm guessing most far east game makers aren't big fans of "Garth Brooks."

I'd give this 10 out of 10 stars, so you can double my scores above. I give it two very muscially inclined thumbs up!!! Hopefully you'll be able to raise your two thumbs after playing this very active, music inspired game!!!

Rating: out of 5 stars - The Grooviest Game EVER!
My cousin came to live with us, and she brought this game with her. I came home one day and she was playing it, so i said i would play with her. It was really easy to learn, and i loved it! I think the most awesome character is Shorty, and her level is my fav! I love this game so much, it is fun and easier than those dumb footpad ones, cuz you use the controller! I LOVE THIS GAME!

Rating: out of 5 stars - omg! Amazing!!
This game is so much fun! I have been playing it for years, and I still love it!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Great!!
The game is set up like a 2-d fighting game. But instead of throwing punches, you dance. Sounds silly, I know. You can attack (only twice per stage), and the dance commands get harder as you play. The music is great though. There's J-Pop, Hip Hop, Techno, Disco, all sorts of genres. But all of it is great, I don't really like techno or pop, but I was singing along within minutes of listening.
The characters are also pretty interesting. Each has their own style of dance, and all are fun to watch. There's 10 characters (i think) and 4 more to unlock. They all have their own personality, attack, styles, etc, so it makes for a replayable and interesting game.
This is easily my favorite Playstation game I have ever played. I bought it 5 years ago and still play it to this very day. The game may be hard to pick up at first, but one you get the hang of it its a blast! ...
