Golf for Dummies

Rating: - He fixed my full swing and that's a lot!
I've been at my golf swing for 15 years. Never got the downswing to precisely reproduce. After ignoring golf books for years I read this book. Why? I'm a big fan of the 'Dummies' series.
His section on the full swing, specifically his description of the left and right legs, made a dramatic difference in my game. For the first time I could mentaly visualize the feeling of a completed full swing. In technical terms; my proprioception was educated. This is not to say that the 2 feet of shelf space devoted to golf books hasn't helpful. It is to say that his book became the latest and finest polish to swing details!
Rating: - Not what I expected
I ordered this book thinking it was the full-size "Golf for Dummies" I saw at the book store. It isn't. It is a miniature book of about 15 pages with no pictures. The picture is deceptive.
Rating: - Save your money!
Like several other reviewers, I thought I was getting a regular book. What I got was a joke. The booklet is a complete waste of time. For example, the advice on grip says to hold the club in the left hand and then place right hand above it. Are you kidding? I like Gary McCord as a commentator and the Dummies books are usually alright, but this was a waste of money. As for the seven-in-one tool, buy a regular divot tool and throw this piece of garbage away!
Rating: - Buyer Beware
Look carefully before you buy this book. I thought I was getting a regular dummies book....you know one that is a regular book size and has more than 100 pages. I just looked at the name and the picture and with my knowledge of the "Dummies" series, I purchased this.
I found this product worthless. This is a book that fits in your palm and is only 32 pages long. There's very little info on each page. The divot tool that comes with the book sells for $5.99 at Dicks. So, that tells you how much is really being spent on the book.
Be careful and buy the real book and not the small pocket book. I notice that both are listed with the same titles on this web site.
Rating: - Good for the True Beginner
I bought this book after having one golf lesson and feeling like my swing was worse then when I first started! I knew nothing about golf or etiquette. This is a very inclusive book about how to dress, what club to use, and more. The pictures are good and the author makes it fun to read.
