Customer Reviews Rating: - I would give this 6 stars if I could.
Being a forty-something woman, this book was a godsend. Ramin did her research well and shared the results in a very readable way. She gave me hope that I could improve my memory and gave me comfort in the fact that I'm not alone with memory loss in midlife. I hightly recommend this book.
Rating: - Just when you thought you were losing your memory...
...along comes this book that lets you know that you are not alone. This is a scary subject for many of us who have "senior moments" and may be having them more frequently. Cathryn Jakobson Ramin explores what may (or may not) be going on inside our skulls and, along the way, shows what's being done to stop and sometimes reverse the process. The fact that she approaches the subject with humor helps to ease the seriousness (and fear) of the situation.
Ms Ramin explores the cutting-edge in brain research and guides the reader to understand complex issues.
This is a MUST READ for anyone 50 and older!
Rating: - Have a dinner party and discuss this book!
No one I know wants to have serious discussions about memory loss because none of us want to admit we aren't sharp as a tack! But reading this book changed all that for me. It was comforting to learn all the reasons for memory loss other than early dementia and Alzheimers. I think there will be lots of dinner parties where this book is the main topic of conversation. Great information.

Rating: - thought provoking
Excellent reading! Well written and brings up many issues. Not just for people in 'middle age'. Seems well documented.
