Editorial Review:A sequel to the 2005 Grammy nominated Vol. I. Twelve songs culled from Browne's extensive and critically acclaimed solo acoustic concerts around the world over the past few years. Like its predecessor, it captures both spirited and humorous exchanges between Jackson and his audiences, making for a truly intimate listening experience. It reaches back to his debut album and spans his entire career with highlights such as "Never Stop", The Night Inside Me" and "In The Shape Of A Heart".

I haven't heard Vol 1 yet, but I place this album in the top two of his discography. It's relaxing, funny, introspective and a pure pleasure to listen to. Songs played previously on albums are done completely different here and the whole aura is inspiring.

This is my favorite Jackson Browne album ( and I have most of them ). I prefer it to Vol. 1, as the songs are not as well known as the bigger "hits". I actually enjoy the interactions with the audience, and you can also chose to skip over the dialog, as it's kept on its own track, separate from the song. It really sounds like Mr. Browne is enjoying himself, and he certainly seems to have found his groove. The sound is excellent, and the performance shimmers. It's melancholy, pensive, sad, and uplifting. ... Read More

This is such a must have for all JB fans. His personality comes through with anecdotes about songs...when and who they were written for.
Just a great collection of his overall work.

Let me say this at the outset: I'm a big Jackson fan and have been for years. That being said, I saw the song selection on this album (yes, it IS an album!) and thought I'd pass. I reconsidered.... and bought it....
I'm thrilled that I did!! The song selection, which at first is what kept me from getting the CD, works really well. Mr. Browne's guitar playing is just wonderful.... He'd probably be the first to tell you that he's no Clapton, but what he does with the instrument works perfectly ... Read More

I absolutely loved "Solo Acoustic Vol 1",(check out my review).
That being said, everything that I loved about Vol 1 is still present in this second volume. The only thing that looses a star in my opinion is that I thought the song selection was better in the first.
The album still has wonderful audio, still has a great intimate vibe, and JB still sounds great.
I love the little intro tid bits, we are privy to with this recording, it makes you feel like you are actually ... Read More
