Editorial Review:On March 25, the remarkable Elton John proudly turned 60 years old. To celebrate the occasion, he performed his 60th concert at Madison Square Garden, and two days later released a newly compiled and digitally remastered collection of his greatest hits from past to present. This over 78-minute-long compilation is the first-ever single disc to cover the first 35 years of the great singer-songwriter's career. This limited edition comes with a bonus DVD, containing 5 live performances from the NBC broadcast of Elton's Red Piano concert, including his hits "Bennie and the Jets," "Rocket Man," "Candle in the Wind 1997," "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting," and "Your Song." It also features 5 music videos, including "Your Song," "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues," "I'm Still Standing," and "I Want Love"--the latter featuring Robert Downey Jr.--plus Elton's new video for his latest single, "Tinderbox," only available here.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Elton John FOREVER
It is Amazing how Sir Elton can go from the Mellow to the all out Classical Rock & Roll in a matter of minutes.(especially noticable at a live concert). I was also amazed that he could play the piano with such pudgie fingers. I would recomend this CD/DVD PACKAGE to any new fan or any long time one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One CD with all your faves
I don't think I have to tell you how amazing Elton is. Skip it...we all know he's incredible. But this CD has all the best of his songs in one place...all the number one's and you won't be disappointed that you bought it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Long, Long, Time of Hits!
This release coincided with Elton's 60th birthday in March of 2007. And while there have been many greatest hits collections over the years, this one offers pretty much the best of the hits. All of the big hits from the 70s hey day are represented here. Bennie, Philadelphia Freedom, Crocodile Rock, Daniel, etc. And the always endearing duet with Kiki Dee (Don't Go Breaking My Heart) is included as well.

Sadly, however, there has yet to be an attempt to repackage some of Elton's great ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - its a big selection
the cd is a very good selection
but it similar to many others greatest hits.
i bought it cause incluide a dvd with some videos.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - An economical way to get 17 Elton John hits
This is an economical way to get 17 Elton John hits. It is not a comprehensive collection of his hits and it leaves out some of his songs that I prefer and includes others that I am less fond of. But it does include some good selections of his music and all of the selections sound familiar and as I am used to hearing them. This is an advantage over some of his other greatest hit compilations which include selections that were not hits and in order to get all of the hits on one album you have to receive ... Read More
