Always know what time it is. The Sony ICF-C218 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio has a 0.9" green LED display, which is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock.

This is such a lifesaver! Our power blips often and since my boyfriend is a chef he often has to get up really early after coming home really late. If the alarm doesnt go off he is in a big bind. This clock doesnt stay on while the power is off, but it does reset both the time and alarm setting after a power blip. it hasn't failed us once!

When you buy a clock-radio for less than $15, you should not have high expectations. I bought mine to fill a small space on my night stand. We are getting to the place where our only non-automatic-time clocks are found in major appliances. I wish our GE microwave oven were automatic! This Sony fills the space available very well.
