We keep all our household records in PaperPort instead of drawers full of paper. Things like utility/phone bills/emails/medical bills are scanned and placed in a folder.
PDF4 makes it easy, it is selected, just as you would a printer, creates a PDF file and places it where you tell it to.
Been using Create and PaperPort for years.

I have a very simple need. It is to be able to create my non-graphical documents in PDF format so that the recipients (such as my students) cannot alter them. I want to do it very cheaply without paying hundreds of dollars for the ADOBE ACROBAT program. Nuance's (or ScanSoft) PDF Create is a perfect and affordable solution. The installation is a cinch. I loaded this onto a brand new HP machine running VISTA. It doesn't work.
Also I can't get any help. A real waste of money.
