I was getting bored of the Raith so I welcomed a new 'first contact'. I'm also glad to see Daniel Jackson back in character! A great episode - a great series.

its my first amazon on demand video. i fell asleep friday but had to see this ep on satuday like a drug attic the video is hq n theres no experation. next up is the trek movies.
Rating:  - great show - poor quality video
I bought the first episode of season 5 in the video download version because I wanted the cliffhanger from season 4 resolved. I might even buy more versions, but the quality of the downloaded video is quite poor. The lighting, even when adjusted on my laptop, is odd and often things are not quite in focus. It may just be my laptop, but I have no problem with instant play on Netflix. I think I'll wait until the technology is a bit more perfected to spend my money on anymore unbox episodes.

though i enjoy stargate atlantis. it suffers from something that has plagued the entire franchise from the beginning, even starting as early as season one of SG1. even the greatest episodes have this slow lengthy period at the the end, that involves nothing more then talking heads, sometimes poorly scripted talking heads. like we have to slow down and talk about everyone feelings. ... Rating: - Great concept but disturbing ending
I liked the plot. The entity being Dr. Weir was unexpected, but from knowing her character too many things that she did were very uncharacteristic of her. She put Atlantis and her people in danger several times, lied about the others knowing that she was going to Atlantis, and never lie to people, replicators or not and essentially commit genocide.
