Phenomenal. That's basically my gut reaction after having watched this whole series in nearly one sitting. Now, I must come clean, I am by no means an Anime connoisseur. I've seen a few movies here and there, but I would never claim to be an authority on this subject. Rating: - ELFEN LIED ROCKS!!!
I was recommended this series by a friend of mine, and mind you I am not really a fan of gore and limbs flying around. I am a huge anime fan and I could not take my eyes or attention off this series! Its wonderful!! Just with the opening music alone got me hooked and then theres the storyline, the methods behind "lucy's" madness, the whole outlook on humanity, the stories on the other characters made this not just a blood and gore type of anime. Highly recommened!
Rating: - Violent and good Story
This is a very bloody anime that retains a good plot and relatable characters. Although I didn't think at first that it would be that great, it has become one of my top favorites.
Rating: - Violence to the extreme
If you have the ability to watch limbs flying, and maybe even worse, then you may want to pick this up. The ending is not fairy tale and you may not agree with it, but that is the nature of this anime.
