The Metal Slug anthology is a great addition to your PSP library. 10 years after these Neo-Geo games had their arcade runs, they're now available to own on one PSP disc!
The gameplay is simplistic - just run and shoot everything and everyone that gets in your way. There's no complex backstory to follow, but with games like this, there's no need: just choose your character and let the shooting begin!

If your having trouble enjoying your PSP, just buy this. It's really hard for me to get into most PSP games due to the bad control setup. This game however, plays very well. It's a great game to have if you don't have all day to play games, you don't feel the need to beat it or anything, just pop it in for a while, blow up some stuff, shoot some stuff then carry on with your day, no sweat.

This is a great compilation of the Metal Slug series. This is a great port. I think the PSP version is perfect. This is a great game to pick up and play for a while, and finish later. It's great if you have 5 minutes to kill, or 2 hours. If you like the Metal Slug games at all, you will appreciate this compilation. Coming out with a Metal Slug game for the PSP was one the greatest things SNK has done. This probably has to be my favorite PSP game. I have been waiting for this type of game to come out ever since I got my PSP. Thanks to SNK, I can enjoy the fun of Metal Slug in the palm of my hand. Now if you're not so sure about getting this game, but your a big fan of shooters, don't hesitate. Buy it! You won't regret it. Playing this game when I was little thrilled and excited me. Now I can relive those moments!
