This is an ARCADE style driving game. If you like GT4, pass on this. I read a lot of reviews calling this a great game. They were written by young people who imagine what driving is like. After an hour with this game, I added it to my stack of games to give to my grand children when they get a little older.

The Heart Attack mode makes this game stand out from other racing games. In this mode your "girlfriend" asks you to skid, avoid crashing, or pick up or hit items as you drive. Much more interesting than just tring to beat the time or other cars. My nephews(all in there twenties and car fanatics) couldn't stop playing.

This is an extremely fun game and I'd recommend it to anyone. Even if you have several racing games it's worth getting this one because it's so unusual,compared to other PS2 racing games I've seen.

Outrun 2006 has achieved what the Gran Turismo series never has and never will- it's fast and it's fun! I would expect nothing less from Sega's Yu Suzuki, the creator of the original Outrun, Daytona, Virtua Fighter, Space Harrier and many other classics. It is sad that the only good games on the PS2 come from Sega, yet Sega couldn't survive while Sony rakes in undeserved profits on it's poor products due to marketing hype.
