Rating:  - A ''Mighty" Album!
It's been said to death in these reviews, but it may very well be one of the best albums I've heard in years. The songs just grab you and after only a few listens you realize that you're already singing along! To me, that says that the music stays with you after it's over and captivates you while it's playing. In case you haven't noticed, I highly recommend this album for whatever the reason or season!

I bought this over a year ago and I really want to like it, so I keep coming back to it. I have yet to make it through both both disks without skipping songs or bits of songs. I have "Bird in a House" and the "Black Bear Sessions" and despite the label's assertion that those two recordings were basically done live without extensive overdubbing, based on "Elko" I can't help but think RRE is something of a studio creation. Rating: - Great album- a must for your collection!
This is my favorite Railroad Earth album, and a "must" for any dynamic music collection. Its a phenomenal quality live CD and shows how truly talented all the musicians are....they really jam-out! Its hard not to want to dance to most of the songs- they are all pretty much up-beat, peppy songs you'll probably end up (like I do) humming constantly after hearing the CD.

This is a good live cd with most of their really good songs. Most of the tracks are very long and this makes for more time listening. I like thier studio cds better.

I haven't had a chance to listen to Elko lately because my husband's constantly making me more cds of RRE that he downloads, but it is a masterpiece that I have listened to a lot. When my husband started catching on to this band I thought yeah, yeah, yeah, as the other live bands we've seen over the years like Phil & Friends, Ratdog etc. and others just ultimately don't cut it for me and make me nostalgic for the past.
