Editorial Review: The proper positioning of home theater satellite speakers is not as obvious as it seems. While many people enjoy sound reproduced from speakers at ear level, the correct positioning, according to Dolby Laboratories, is actually several feet above ear level. Enter Hover Foundations. These heavy duty cast iron and steel speaker stands are the first ever that meet the placement guidelines of Dolby Laboratories. And they do so with rugged construction designed to hold speakers up to 10 lbs., and include features like adjustable height and a concealed wire management path. Get ready to hear what Dolby Digital sound really sounds like.

Rating: - A little pricey, but well worth it
These are excellent surround satelite speaker stands. Beefy construction, good finish, lots of brackets to work with a range of speakers. These are the first stands that I've come across that reach high enough for proper surround speaker placement. Support poles are plenty big to fit a decent sized cable through. The only thing I would like to have seen is a hole running from the base of the pole where the cable comes out, through the base so you can hide the cable a little better at the bottom. ... Read More
Rating: - Amzon refuses to clear things up
This is a set of TWO, but nowhere does it say that. I got conned into buying 4 when I only needed 2 stands. Their extra height is why I had to have them so I thought I was paying $70+ for each stand. In 2 years Amazon has been contacted and told about the problem twice and yet refuses to use the word "set" or "two" in it's description. They continue to show only one speaker.I got two emails, one saying no action was taken due to incorrect form or usage and the other said no action was taken because ... Read More
Rating: - I purchased 2 sets for my surround, very nice
I just received my two sets yesterday. They were easy to put together with all that in necessary to complete installation with my sony speakers. They are solid on the hardwood floor and adjustable so I can move them for the best sound when I want to watch a movie.
At full height they are a little bold looking with 4 stands towering over the room but when not in use, adjust down and disapear into the corners. Which is just what I wanted in a speaker stand. My setup is the 5.1 surround with the ... Read More
Rating: - Sturdy
These stands are best for larger bookshelf type speakers. They are extremely sturdy, but their beefiness makes them inappropriate for smaller sats, which I had. With bigger speakers, they look and perform great.
Rating: - Works well with my JBL surround speakers with minor adjustments.
Value for money. Very stable.
