Rating: out of 5 stars - Ace Fell in the Hole
Ace High starring Eli Wallach,Terence Hill sounds like a winner in the spaghetti western genre especially with Eli Wallach with his unforgettable performance as Tuco in Sergio Leone's classic,Good,Bad,and the Ugly, but Ace high does nothing but bore and disappoint with a confusing plot, alot of nonsense and hardly any action at all, don't waste your money or your valuable time.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Hill & Spencer... and Wallach!
Ace High is the second in a trilogy starring Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, directed by Guiseppe Colizzi. It is the best by far of the three films, although God Forgives.. I Don't (the first one) is also great.

In fact, the film begins where the last one leaves off and continues the adventure in a different direction. You don't have to have seen the first one to enjoy this, but it would be a good idea to release the previous film, if just to see a great performance by Frank Wolff as ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Forgettable Western!
This film has some good actors in it but the plot is pretty shaky and hard to follow at times. It is not comparable to other great Westerns made during the sixties. Eli Wallach is good but confusing--who and what is he after? The color is good and it sounds like a Sergo Leone picure but it isn't. What a shame!!! It could have been made better--less comedy and more plot and of course --action and suspense!!!! Buy or rent on your own if you dare----I wouldn't.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Comedy in a genre devoid of Comedy
Cacopolus, played by Eli Wallach, is easily the best Western anti-hero to grace the silver screen. His dry wit, and useful sayings his "grandfather used to say" make him constant comic relief. Two friends rob a bank, and head out of town with their money, little do they know that their about to be duped by Cacopolus, an outlaw who know his way around money, and redefines the word "money laundering". After being robbed the duo seek out their mustached theif, following the trail of good deeds Cacopolus ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Loaded deck shoots blanks
Considering the sensational cast (Eli Wallach, Terrence Hill, Bud Spencer, Kevin McCarthy and Brock Peters), the Euro-western era it was made in and the locations where it was shot, Ace High is a major disappointment. The plot is uninvolving and incoherent, the cinematography is cramped and completely lacking in style, the music is weak during a time that spawned so many memorable soundtracks and the direction lacks any focus whatsoever. The editing looks like it was performed with a butcher's knife. ... Read More
