Editorial Review: Increased mega pixel cameras require more flash memory; larger memory is more expensive; the Flash-HD to Go is the cost effective way to store and manage your digital photos. The portable Flash-HD to Go is a self contained backup solution for Flash Memory Cards while away from your computer. In addition when connected to your computer through a USB cable you can organize, edit or share your photos easily. Its small size and ease of use make the Flash-HD to Go a must have accessory for digital cameras; the Lithium Ion battery can be recharged through either the USB connection or the included AC adapter continuously. The carrying case provides durability for the photographer on the go. The included software makes organizing, editing and sharing your photos as well as backing up your computer easy.

Rating: - Excellent external hard drive
Excellent works great - never had any problems with it.
Also comes with retrospect software to backup and adobe photoshop album - these are not some cheap programs - they are easily worth an additional $50 to $60 dollars.
Buy this you will not be disappointed!
Rating: - Good if you use it plugged in - DONT rely on battery
Here's the deal with this device. You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT interrupt the copying procedure, by either pulling out the card too soon or letting the battery die before the card is fully copied. If this happens, you will get errors and corrupted pictures on the drive later, and you will not be able to use the card in your camera (in fact, it may even make your camera stop working while the card is in it - not permanently but you will not be able to reformat it in the camera). It is my experience that you ... Read More

WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR: - Instead of buying many memory cards and/or lugging my laptop with me, I was hoping to offload my pictures quickly and continue to take more. My equipments include a Canon 20D (taking RAW) and a SanDisk Ultra II 2GB CF card. I wanted to be able to do this during a long day of wedding events and also on a week long vacation. Since I am not a professional photographer and do not have a profession budget, I couldn't really afford the Epson P-2000 that everyone loves for this ... Read More
Rating: - Love this HD to go!
Don't know where all the negative reviews came from. Instructions are slim, but it was very easy to connect to the PC and install and have it up and running within minutes. (I use windows xp) We used it on our trip to Disney a few months ago and it was so handy! We never ran out of memory card space and did not have to worry about what pictures we can or can't take so we have enough to last the day. With this unit we took as many as we wanted, loaded them on the unit and kepted going. Once at home, we ... Read More

Today I purchased a 40 GB "Flash-Hd to Go" and have spent the last 3 hours attempting to: 1. load the software (totally un-intuitive experience) ultimately without success; 2. after multiple trial and error attemts, transfer pictures from a 512 MG Fuji Film chip, again without ANY help from the 4 page so-called Users Guide, which transer according to the, again, un intuitive, device screen apppears to have occurred; and 3. transfer the pictures to my Windows XP Professional 240 GB computer, with NO success ...
