Rating: - Best Basketball Game Ever Created
..and im saying this as NBA Live 08' and NBA 2K8 are going to be released in a few months.
this game is by far the best basketball game ever made, period. an EXCELLENT Association Mode and jam PACKED with Side features...like the very creative 24/7 mode. i actually ended up playing a season in Association Mode that went from 2004 to 2019 (i had to make a new one because i wanted the team chemistry off)....and my roster had advanced from having current nba stars...to having nothing but ... Reviewed for Big Boss Games by: PK The Green
Usually when I spend $20 for a game it's used, greatest hits, or horrid. This one is none of the aforementioned. ESPN NBA Basketball 2K5 by Take 2 Interactive is brilliant in many ways.
First off, I was amazed to see they allowed me to create my own shoes. A sign of a true Superstar is their very own signature kicks. The presentation lives up to the ESPN tagged to the name. Various ESPN personalities supply pre-game and post-game ... Read More
Rating: - Game is OK
Played it at my cousin's house. The gameplay is sweet, but the thing that ticks me off is the free throws. That's gotta be the dang hardest thing ever...NBA Live is MUCH easier with respect to free throws. This thing with having to gently push in both triggers is just nuts; I didn't make ANY free throws the entire game, and I had like 10 chances.
Also, the gameplay is a LITTLE unrealistic. I mean, I was sinkin' threes like nobody's business..even my center was makin' threes! But it was a load of ... Read More

Alright I was at Best Buy one day, walked past the games and I seen the new NBA 2k5 was out so I checked it out looked the price and it said 19.99 I was LIKE WHAT! So you know me, I bought it, and it's a really great game, better than 2k4. Its fun playin on Xbox Live, thers just a few glitches in the game, but nothing that big of a deal. But this game is really worth 20 bucks for sure.
Rating: - A Must For Any NBA Fan
I have both NBA Live & this game here. The fun factor for this game is way better. The only thing NBA Live has for it is the All Star Weekend. I find myself playing this game non-stop. This is the best basketball game I've ever played. Way to go SEGA!!!!!! The only downfall for this game is each player has a high % of making shots. It's almost like each player has a portion of MJ in them. I'm not complaining about that, because I like high scoring games instead of low scoring (due to defense.)
