works great for the money and the included software lets you customise what the middle button does and allows for faster vertical scrolling with each turn of the middle wheel

This is a really great product! I can't stand the touch pad that you get with a laptop! you don't need a mouse pad because this mouse uses LED's instead of the friction type devices.

Wow, how common are optical mouse these days. Yes, they were a minor miracle when they replaced ball mice, but you'd think by now you could take certain things for granted, like not having the right button click itself every time you drop the mouse more than a half an inch on to your mousepad. It makes a difference when you are in the heat of a computer game, or your little kid is just learning to use a computer.
