Letter Factory
Tad, Leap, and Lily hop from the pages of the amazingly popular Leap Pad learning toys onto the television screen in this attention grabbing phonics program. Tad's disappointment at being unable to help his family with an important presentation at the letter factory quickly turns to excitement when he meets Professor Quigley and joins each of the letters of the alphabet in their own fun-filled classroom devoted to learning their unique sound. Tad practices karate kicks with the k's, digs the vibes with the cool cat d's drumming on the bongos, and snores peacefully with the z's while learning to recognize each letter and the sound it makes. A catchy, fun song serves as a summation of each letter's "class" and entices even the most reluctant of toddlers (and their parents) to sing each letter's sound. An interactive game follows the program and gives children a chance to practice their newfound skills of recognizing letters and their sounds. Consumers expect great educational products from LeapFrog and this DVD won't disappoint. (Ages 2 to 5) --Tami Horiuchi
Talking Word Factory
Building words is an exciting and empowering experience for young children (and frogs) who have mastered individual letters and their sounds. When young Tad wants to nominate his Dad for a "Best Dad" contest he asks his brother Leap and sister Lily for some help filling out the application. The three young frogs go see Professor Quigley at their Father's Talking Word Factory for a little instruction and get to watch the "Sticky-ick-o-rama" and the "Word Whammer" machines at work. Tad quickly discovers that vowels act as the glue that sticks letters together and then learns to combine individual letter sounds to make three-letter words, use common ending sounds to create rhyming words, and blend letter sounds to make even longer rhyming words. Phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, and rhyming are entertaining and fun thanks to familiar Leap Pad characters, colorful animation, and short songs. An interactive word game challenges young viewers to fill in the missing first letter in a variety of three-letter words. This program is a great next step for graduates of Leap Frog: Talking Letters Factory and children ages 3 to 6. --Tami Horiuchi
The Letter Factory follows popular LeapFrog characters Leap, Lily, Tad and wacky Professor Quigley on their wild adventure through The Letter Factory. Here, these engaging characters tour various rooms where each letter of the alphabet is learning to pronounce its sound. For example, the letter Cs are in the freezer room where it is "Ccc-Ccc-Ccc-COLD." Featuring original songs designed to educate and entertain, The Letter Factory teaches children ages 2-5 letters, phonics and listening skills while fostering language development. Produced to complement The Letter Factory by LeapFrog, The Talking Words Factory takes the educational process to the next level by focusing on word construction, rhyming and vocabulary. In the video, Leap, Lily and Tad journey to the Talking Words Factory where machines like the Word Whammer and Sticky-Icky-O-Rama make a group of letters into words. The Talking Words Factory also incorporates humorous songs to engage children ages three and up.

Rating: out of 5 stars - These are the BEST!
My daughter got Letter Factory and Code Word Caper for her 3rd birthday and I wished I'd had them sooner! She has learned so much from these videos. I now give them and the other titles to everyone else's kids as they turn 2!

Your child can be an amazing side show... My son is 2 1/2 and just from the letter factory and alot of encouragement from Mommy. He know the alphabet, all the sounds, and by sounding out a word he can actually tell you what it starts with..... Impress your friends and neighbors they will think you have a baby genius...Its fun, I just bought the two new DVD's and cant wait to share them with my son...

Rating: out of 5 stars - Great at reinforcing phonics...
I bought these for my 4 1/2 year old son. I had been trying numerous ways to teach him about phonics with workbooks, videos, books, and crafts. The leapfrog collection however tied all the teaching together. It is lively and really holds his attention. After a few viewings of the letter factory and talking words he had the letter phonics down pretty well and started excelling in rhyming and writing letters and words. After purchasing the new Leapfrog Code Word Caper dvd he has started reading ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - easy learning
We just found these dvds at our library and i was fascinated at how great these are. My son is 5 and has just begun to put sounds and words together. In this dvd in a matter of minutes he was reading and putting words together like a pro.<br /> The great thing is that it kept his attention from beginning to end. At the end they even have an interactive game for the tv. Must buy!!!

Rating: out of 5 stars - A great leap towards success
This was the best buy we made for my daughter last christmas. After a year she is still watching these DVD's.
After watching these DVD's twice she knew the whole alphabet and all the sounds of the letters. The word factory had actually encouraged her to start writing and putting leters together to form words. I recomend this product to everyone and hope people have as much succes as we had with my daughter. Im looking foward to purchasing the new DVD's this year.
