Editorial Review:
Adapted from the popular Nickelodeon show, this feature continues the adventures of the blithely cheerful, football-headed Arnold (voice by Spencer Klein) on the big screen. When corrupt developer Schek (Paul Sorvino) threatens to buy the run-down urban neighborhood where Arnold lives, he and his best friend Gerald (Jamil Smith) rally the neighbors to keep their homes from being turned into a mega-mall. After their peaceful efforts fail, they turn to espionage in a spoof of Men in Black and other action films. Hey Arnold! suffers from the same difficulty as many theatrical features spawned from TV cartoons: the characters have to solve a problem that's too big. The James Bond-style gadgetry and car chases don't fit into the slightly skewed vision of fourth-grade life that made the series popular. The limited animation and awkward designs will work better in the video release. Rated PG for cartoon violence. --Charles Solomon

Rating: out of 5 stars - If You Like The Show, You'll Like The Movie!
If you like the cartoon "Hey Arnold" how can you not enjoy this episode? As is the case with most Nickelodeon films this movie is basically a long episode of the TV show. The characters are the same, the plot is similar and it is quite enjoyable. I think children or adults would like this movie.

4 Out Of 5 Stars.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Man, that deep voice is a pain in the...!
This movie wasn't bad. It was a typical Hey, Arnold! affair:

-Arnold uses his usual level-headed point of view
-Helga teases Arnold about how "pathetic" he is (but we all know how that *really* goes)!
-Gerald assists Arnold in almost whatever he does, but doesn't stand by as an empty tool

But the movie has a premise: Arnold and his friends have to protect the city from losing a big part of itself because ATi, a new and big corporation wants to come in and tear ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - "I've always loved you, ever since I layed eyes on you stupid football head!"
I saw "Hey Arnold: The Movie" the first day it came out in theaters in 2002, and I must say, I was very impressed. It had the heart and the humor of the TV show, but with more action and excitement. Although the animation is crappy, it still has that classic "Hey Arnold" look.
But if I hear the word "neighborhood" one more time, I'm gonna throw myself off a bridge.
The DVD's special features for this movie are awful. Couldn't they at least have had a behind-the-scenes documentary ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - the REAL best movie of 2002
I love this movie even more than honey combs cerial. I love it, with all my heart. Every bit of it, and even some of my lungs and liver. I love it, what else can I say. I have posters of it all in my room, I even have a Hey Arnold lamp and chair. They came together, as a box set. Then I have a Hey Arnold sticker. I got that at the doctors. I had a boo-boo. Anyways, I have a Hey Arnold ringtone. Its the best thing I have ever spent money on (besides the DVD that is). When some one calls, my phone goes "Hey ... Read More
