Rating: - take it for what it is
This system is a beginner, entry level system and you should not expect extremely high quality sounds out of it. That being said, it's a nice little system that fits absolutely anywhere (basically why I got it) and plays your music or game soundtracks or whatever. The sub doesn't go very low and the bass control is a little sensitive. You get the bass lines, but not the punchiness from the bass drum-- you're not gonna feel it in your gut like other systems out there. The highs are alright but ... Read More
Rating: - BEST PC Speakers made ever
I bought these set of speakers more than five years ago. I have not been this happy about any product I bought before in my life. In fact, after buying these speakers I realized how much the statement "Big things come in small packages!" is true. I bought these for $39.99. One can also buy these for sale price. Sometimes Cambridge Soundworks has a factory sale and you can get them at as low as $25
In any case, I am more than happy and willing to pay $39.99 for these. What I like about these ... Read More
Rating: - The best for Mp3, radios, CDs, etc...
Whao! I believe the guy that use them as a theather system, great idea. These speakers are excellent, specially for the price. The sound is clear and the subwoofer makes them sound like an expensive system. I got them for home and plug in my mp3 or radio cd. We don't even use our stereo system anymore since these are a lot easier to plug and play. I even got a set for my nephew to use w/ his MP3, I got him the set w/ 4 speakers and the sub. He hook one speaker in each corner of his room, the sorround ... Read More
Rating: - Perfect for Office Use
This thing is a great value if money and size is a factor. It's perfect for low-volume music listening in the office (also cheap enough to lose). Music sounds a little bit canned at higher volume but it's not fair for it to perform at that level... Go for Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 or Logitech Z-2300 if you need a system to rock your boss off his chair.. at a price (LITERALLY)!
I got this stuff as a gift for applying for a cambridge soundworks credit card in 2002 (Nothing is better than free ?!). ... Read More
Rating: - Two Little PC Works that Could!
I own two of these little marvels. One (Beige) is connected to my upstairs 27" Panasonic CRT TV, and the other (Black) was hooked up to my Emachines PC, which came with awful OEM speakers. Financial hard times forced me to sell my home theater system (B&W 5.1 speaker system, Pioneer receiver), so I had to do something to keep some semblance of quality sound for my remaining family room setup of 36" Toshiba TV, Toshiba DVD player and Sony VCR. I moved my PC Works from the computer to direct hookup to the ... Read More
