This CD was exactly what I was hoping. I wanted something that was relaxing and this CD fit the bill.

I didn't actually hear this, but it was very well received in a
spa-like relaxation gift package centering on meditation. Recipient
called to thank again after listening to it.
Rating: - Pull out a Pint!
Overall, I found this CD to be excellent recordings of music that both calms and cheers. I was expecting more mellow, slow pieces but it is a rather lively, toe-tapping selection. Excellent for when you are trying to block out the chaos surrounding you. I would recommend.
Rating:  - Enough rain already!!
The music on this CD is simple but varied, from Irish jigs to some ballads. But every piece has the sound of rain in the background... every piece, all the way through. I come from a climate with a lot of rain (not Ireland), but even a desert-dweller would get the idea after a couple of pieces in background, and an interlude or two. It made me glad when the last piece was finished. This one was fine for a single listening, but no more than that for me.

I'm in the middle of chemotherapy and this music is just right for meditating and putting myself somewhere else, even if only for the length of the CD. The undergirding rain sounds are soothing and compliment the music that is traditional.
