Rating:  - Several standout tracks amongst an album that should have weighed more

One of the handful of "emo" labeled bands whose cynical lyrics, jarring guitar work, and raspy screams still honor the category in the best sense. Despite a brief disc's healthy portion of over-noised, less focused material, Domestica's tense, heart-blackened thematic edge punctuates the few tracks that do all click together, offering some of "screamo's" most dignified and melodically informed rantings in the process.

Domestica is the third cursive album i have purchased. its a step backwards from the two i had heard first (ugly organ, happy hollow) but thats logical because it precede these. if you like cursive and good music domestica is a great have. think of it as the beginning of there grandeur.

Wow... was I surprised after seeing all of the reviews... I hate this CD... It has to be the worst choice I've made in 5 years... this CD should have never been linked to any suggested site other than garbage.. Oops!! my bad.. I like the band Garbage... what a huge waste... huge..

Cursive's Domestica embodies both indie music as well as audio art. The way their songs unfold musically with their lyrics is very impressive. Kasher is without a doubt one of the better lyricists to arrive in the past 10 years. He has a wonderfully seductive voice as well. Very poetic. The guitar work is splendid on this album. It can be very intricit, heavy, and abstract. This album also reflects Cursive's wonderful talent for turning the emotion 180 in a given song. It keeps things interesting. ... Read More

After they butchered version of the Smith's "frankly mr shankly" I know I shouldn't have given this band a chance. Total waste of money
