Rating:  - Not as good as I expected...
I made the decision to buy this soundtrack based on a previous purchase of music from the show Felicity, which I enjoyed very much. I was disappointed that the music wasn't very good on the Dawson's Creek CD. Maybe it's been too long since I've seen the show.

This is the best soundtrack I've ever heard, including movie soundtracks.
As fans of the series know, music was always central to Dawson's Creek. It highlighted the emotions, and certain songs will always bring you back to memories of the show.
Each song on the CD has it's own special qualities, they're all good songs, but a few stand-out:

Rating: - Only gets better
I remember how I was so excited when this soundtrack first came out- the show had introduced me to so many songs that I loved, yet hadn't been able to track down (pre-internet knowledge), so when I flung it into my stereo and pressed play, I was a little disappointed. No Chantal's "Before You", no Billie Myers kissing the rain, no Jann Arden singing about her "Good Mother", and definitely no Blink 182 telling the world "Dammit".

this is an excellent cd, even for those of you who don't watch the show.
I have watched so many episodes of Dawson's creek, and I feel like i know the characters so well. The music they use to convey the emotions that the characters are feeling, and what we are supposed to feel is beautiful. The songs on this soundtrack are amazing, and have so many memories built into them. I recommend this cd to anyone who is thinking about buying it.
