Some good 80's pop on here. Not every song is great, but there are a lot of catchy songs on Heartbeat. If you're not a fan of 80's pop, or if you don't like Don Johnson, you're unlikely to like this music. But, if the listener is willing to listen unbiased, then they might find something likeable about Heartbeat.

This album features Miami Vice star Don Johnson singing '80s style pop/rock songs. It's pretty boring stuff, even though the title song was a Top 5 hit. Somehow, he managed to get people like Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Ron Wood and Stevie Ray Vaughan to contribute to the album, but it didn't help much.
