Rating: - Not Exactly The "WWF Music"
You like listening to wrestling music? I know I do. Jim Johnston has put together some classic pieces that we diehard fans will never forget. Who can forget "Real American"? The opening notes for The Ultimate Warrior? The simple gong for The Undertaker? In hindsight, it's incredibly cheesy, but I think wrestling fans are rarely embarassed by the condescending masses.
WWF: THE MUSIC - VOLUME 2 is a most bizarre CD. Half the tracks aren't exactly entrance music. Some inexplicably ... Read More
Rating: - Great album for late 90's WWF fans
I bought this on cassette when it first came out. Now, listening to the CD brings back good memories. Too bad they tagged some themes with vocals, such as Stone Cold's (there were no such taggings in Vols. 1, 3 and 4), and left out some classics from the time (Headbangers? Al Snow? Holly? Owen Hart? Please....the list of classic themes is too long). At first, years ago, I didn't like Bret's original song "You Start The Fire" but I have grown to enjoy it a great deal.
Rating: - You are pathetic!
This was the second volume of WWF Wrestlers' "theme songs". That is to say, the music that plays when they are walking to the ring and after they win a match. This is the entrance music circa 1997. If you were a wrestling fan ten years ago, you'll probably enjoy this CD. If you weren't, you probably won't.
Rating: - my life..too much to lose
guys...you mine as well sell your copies of The Wall, Pet Sounds, Revolver, Dark Side, Sgt. Peppers, etc.
This is the best music ever made.
Rating: - Good album.
Jim Johnston did some good opening theme music for this album. I still like the Nation of Domination theme song, with its simmering groove and the gang of guys screaming the chorus. It's very funky with its rumbling keyboards. Also, the Shawn Michaels theme music is among the best here as well as You Start The Fire. I didn't like the Dude Love song very much. There are some songs that haven't really held up strongly after 8 years. But the music does advertise and promote the wrestlers strongly.
