Rating: out of 5 stars - Didn't think it could get any better!
When I saw that Nuclear Blast was releasing a remastered edition of Enthrone Darkness Triumphant I immediately pre-ordered it because for the past eight years or so the only edition available has been the lame deluxe edition.
When I first put the disc into my CD player and cupped my headphones over my ears I was blown away at how amazing the sound of the remaster is. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant has always been my favorite Dimmu Borgir album perhaps because it was the first album of theirs ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Good music like always
Black Metal is evil a putrid. Thats how it needs to be. However the whole christian hate is really over done. Do they, on lyrics, have nothing better to write about? And honestly why would a band strike against a non strict religon? Why not write about killing muslims? Meh, anyways good music...need to be more creative with lyrics. If you want that I say look into viking metal, they have some good stories to tell.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Dimmu revs it up with their third disc.
Dimmu speed up quite a bit on this one.
Still not really my cup of tea compared to the most recent three releases.
However an important piece of black metal history.
Worth checking out?
Hmmmm......maybe.
Somewhat of an important transition for the band.
More symphonic.
If you really like the latest three, In Sorte,Puritanical,Death Cult.
I'd say, take a rain check.
But if your like me and you find a band you like and buy every disc they made.

Rating: out of 5 stars - To Much Symphony
I love Dimmu Borgir and this is my least favorite album by them. The albums before this (Stormblast and For All Tid) were nearly flawless in the terms of raw black metal albums. The symphonic elements of this album stand out too much for my liking. There are some great songs on this but i'll choose to listen to other releases by them over this. I have to be in the mood to listen to this album.

Rating: out of 5 stars - perfect....
when i bought this album, i was blown away. i had set aside two hours so i could listen to it two times straight through. every song is really awesome on it. and the production is amazing(its better than the next albums production. for some reason, the production quality is worse on that album). you can hear the instruments and the work together instead of run together. a perfect album. i recommend it for any fan of symphonic black metal.
