This series shows what excellent TV is all about. NOT snazzy special effects. The first episode gets one to look past the obvious toy landscapes really fast. Rating: - The end?
A great 2 episode build up to a natural, albeit shocking, conclusion to the TV Blake's 7 series. The final moments of the doomy last episode are suitably catastrophic. I remember seeing the episodes in 1981 and that haunting last image stayed with me forever. Excellent!
Rating: - The most amazing series finale to ever grace the TV screen.
The episode "Blake" contained in this video is one of the most amazing, unpredictable and masterfully executed series endings ever to appear on television. I shall not reveal the ending, but suffice it to say, if you've followed the series you will be thinking about it for weeks afterwards.
Rating: - I guess the good guys don't always win
Of course, this is the tape containing the episode "Blake" - a must-see for all fans of this series, especially if you've only seen the last two seasons, where the character 'Blake' wasn't even around and you've been wondering who this chap is that so obsesses our calm, cool, and collected Avon. Suffice to say, there have been a few changes...and you'll never believe the last five minutes! It took me almost an hour to pick my jaw up off the floor.
