Rating:  - It has flaws, but was a decent read
This book was all right. The initial meet cute with the characters was fun and fairly original as Gable talks a trapped Erin through the night. The characters are well constructed with family and friends and lives of their own. The fire-fighting details spiced things up and created an interesting back drop, though lacking any personal knowledge I can't vouch for their accuracy. This author has imagination, and writes descriptions of the outdoor scenes well.

Rating: - maybe I was expecting too much
Maybe after reading "Hunter's Pursuit" I expected more. I love a good romance so that was not the problem. I guess I just found it a bit flat. I concidered it slow reading. I didn't hate it but I didn't really fall in love with it either.
However my parter who doesn't usually read lesbian fiction really enjoyed this one. Maybe it was just my mood. I will still continue to buy her new books.
Rating: - Disappointing Second Novel by Ms. Baldwin
After reading "Hunter's Pursuit" I eagerly awaited this, Kim Baldwin's second novel to arrive. Alas, this was not the same action packed adventure as the first novel. Although "Force of Nature" pulled me in from the start, the intrigue ended a few pages into the story, only picked up three more times throughout the rest of the book, and was short lived. I thought Baldwin's first novel was great! Her second one is just as good, but takes different turns.
