Rating: out of 5 stars - Wild Thing(s)... I think I love you!
"Faith had been tasting Sydney's mouth with intent to taste elsewhere." - Wild Things

It's remarkable how Karin Kallmaker infuses such simple and elegant prose with tremendous passion and eroticism. Having gone through a number of books on her backlist recently, I was convinced that I'd struck gold with my second KK novel, Maybe Next Time, and that the rest of her work, while all good reads, paled in comparison. Boy, was I wrong!

Wild Things had all of the elements of ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Intense, passionate and smart
I appreciated this thoughtful take on the prohibitive effect growing up in a rigid and conservative organized religion can have on one's development, particularly when belief and faith are there, and the benefits of spirituality are considered. Faith's journey to break out of the bounds that she's set for herself in order to honor her religion and placate her family was interesting and seemed realistic, bringing home the painful consequences of trying to embody conflicting or paradoxical views simultaneously. ... Rating: out of 5 stars - Good quick read left me wanting more
My only complaint with all of Kallmaker's books is that they are over too quickly and leave me wanting to read more about the characters she creates. This book spent so much time going into the background of Faith and then sort of "fast forwarded" through a lot of the relationship like she was trying to get to the ending too quickly. So much more could have been written after the women got together. A lot of the family background and historical research Faith did was really a waste of time as the ending just ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - First of many
'Wild Things' was my frist Karin Kallmaker book...and it is surely not my last. If you havent read anything by her yet i would say get to it! I got this book a month ago. Since then I read two others of hers and have two on hand. KK is, by far, turning into my favorite writer!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Not so wild
Faith is dating Sydney's brother, but doesn't feel the same electricity as she does around Sydney.

They fall in love, but decide Faith should do the right thing and be with the brother.

Faith has a nasty father, but a great brother.

There are so many memorable parts in this book.
