This slim, plain looking, little book is evidence that you can't judge a book by its cover. A wealth of information awaits the reader of this book. I was looking for an instruction guide for new group leaders and this book is a stand-alone resource. Initially, it describes the different types of groups. It then goes on to give a very solid foundation in group dynamics and psychology.
