From its first issue in 1939, Glamour's Dos and Don'ts has been one of the magazine's most popular features (and its guiltiest of pleasures). Now the editors of Glamour have collected some of their favorite Dos and Don'ts, along with dozens of helpful sections on how to be a stylish Do, and avoid being a Don't, in The Glamour Big Book of Dos and Don'ts. Hundreds of examples from women on the street and celebrities on the red carpet provide the joys of rubbernecking alongside the practical value of level-headed fashion advice. It's irresistable.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Laugh and Learn
I bought this book to laugh and I did. Some of the pictures are wonderful, funny and all too real. But the funniest thing of all is that I did learn from this book as well. We all make fashion mistakes, sometimes without realizing it and sometimes from confusion. There is so much advice out there, thrown at you, it is easy to get lost. Nothing could be more to the point and clear then these pictures.
My only complaint with the book is the over reliance on celebrity pictures. I would ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - I got a kick out of it
i litterally got a kick out of this book because honestly, some girls are clueless about fashion and just clueless in general. This book is real and has tons of advice plus the pics are hilarious!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Amusing!
Recently, my sister and I have been getting into fashion and watching shows like "What Not to Wear". I never thought I would buy a book like this, but it was just too amusing to pass up. =) I normally enjoy Glamor Magazine's "Dos and Don'ts" section, so I was thrilled that they had an entire book dedicated to the subject, and some pretty helpful tips and advice. (To me, I have the most fun looking at the "Don'ts" because it makes me wonder what the hell some of these people were thinking of??!!) This ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - a weekend afternoon read
Nothing really new. It would be nice to have more to do examples, than not to do. However I finally learned what to do with my pear shape body.

Rating: out of 5 stars - I like this one
This is a very entertaining book. I really enjoyed reading it and laughing at some of the don'ts. I think I will make copies of some of the do pics to take with me next time I go shopping. I liked the ideas on how to dress for different times like work, picnic, reunion, ex-boyfriend, new years eve, etc. The only thing I didn't like was sometimes it looked like they went and took pics at a playboy event or something and threw those in just for sensationalism. I can understand one pic showing us that we shouldn't ... Read More
