Editorial Review: Every seven years, on the seventh day of the seventh month, strange things happen. It began when three young boys - Caleb, Fox, and Gage - went on a camping trip to the Pagan Stone. And twenty-one years later, it will end in a showdown between evil and the boys who have become men - and the women who love them
This modern-day legend draws reporter and author Quinn Black to Hawkins Hollow with the hope of making the eerie happening the subject of her new book. It is only February, but Caleb Hawkins, descendent of the town founders, has already seen and felt the stirrings of evil. Though he can never forget the beginning of the terror in the woods twenty-one years ago, the signs have never been this strong before. Cal will need the help of his best friends, Fox and Gage, but surprisingly he must rely on Quinn as well. She, too, can see the evil that the locals cannot, somehow connecting her to the town and to Cal. As winter turns to spring, Cal and Quinn will shed their inhibitions, surrendering to a growing desire. They will form the cornerstone of a group of men and women bound by fate, passion, and the fight against what is to come from out of the darkness

Rating: - Really bad
Totally boring book. This is a romance novel, not a horror one. Keep away from it.
Rating: - Great story
This is a first time read for me of Nora Roberts, but I enjoyed the book very much and look forward to reading the newxt to come out.
Rating: - Tedious Spawn of a Harlequin Romance and Stephen King's Castoffs
To be fair, I have never read Nora Roberts nor been interested in this genre. I (stupidly) bought this book for a beach trip because it was listed under amazon's Beach Reads. What a mistake. I gritted my teeth through to the end only after reading everything else in the house - including my kids' books - and being desperate for something to read.
The characters are irritating, one-note, stereotyped bores - I care only a little for the 3 'men', and not at all for the 3 'women'. There ... Read More
Rating: - Below Par
The background of the boys and their brotherly behavior is very well written and believable. The remainder of the story is so beyond belief it is almost laughable. If the author was someone other than Roberts, this book perhaps would not be in print let alone a triology.
I am a fan and have all of her books with the exception of the "in deaths". I gave up on them after the third book because they are unbelievable, repetitive and futuristic claptrap. But I do so love Rourk.
Rating: - Great book
I love Nora and this book is just a great as all her other books. I love the trilogy's and they just keep getting better and better. I cannot wait until the third book is out in paperback.. I'll have to reread the first too to keep me from chewing off my nail... lol.
