This is very detailed information about periodontal diseases. It includes etiology, microbiology, body's immune response, great illustrations and tables which make easier memorization and understanding. If you have enough patience to read it all, at the end you have very substantial knowledge about the subject. It is great book for the dental hygienist students and future dentists as well.
Rating: - A Valuable Reference
This is a very thick book for a private practitioner. Practically all factors affecting periodontal disease are being discussed, from epidemiology, etiology, pathology to the treatment and comprehensive management of periodontal disease.
My interest in the book begins from Section IV, Periodontal Surgical because we didn't learn much of this in dental school. Even techniques for periodontal plastic surgery are covered. I find this part most helpful in my private practice which focuses ... Read More

What can I say? This textbook is strikingly well-written. Really, a monumental achievement. The writing is incisive, interesting, even fascinating. For those who thought periodontics was basically scaling and root planing, an odyssey through this book's 1,000 pages shows otherwise.
