Editorial Review: "Oh, Lord!" Gayle jerks the wheel to the right, but too late. "Dylan," she cries as the oncoming car strikes them head on. Within minutes fire and rescue have her out of the car and on the way to surgery, but tragically her daughter Dylan dies in the hospital. Dylan's father can't be located. He's running for the Presidency of the United States and supposedly somewhere on the campaign trail, but actually he's I the arms of a teenage prostitute. Gayle decides to recover in New Zealand to avoid the media, but Nick Nesbitt, television newscaster, senses a story and will stop at nothing to get it.

Rating: - I agree with the author--this should not have been published!
Wow---where to begin. I read the book because it appeared on so many of my "listmania" suggestions that I thought I must be missing something great. I was wrong. Although laced with much over the top sex---what disturbed me most was the childish writing and lack of character developoment. I have never left a review for a book before, but felt compelled to give other readers a heads-up on this poor choice.
How ironic that when deciding to leave my first review I noticed that the ... Read More
Rating: - Discontinued
There is just too much explicit sex between young women in this book. I don't know what I was smoking when I wrote it. I don't know why so many people have bought it, why so many people have liked it, don't get me wrong, an equal amount of people have not liked it, enough that I finally, after way too long, decided to read it again, because I was convinced those people who didn't like this masterpiece penned by me had to be nuts.
But they weren't. True I'd been living in Trinidad when ... Read More

United States Senator Stacy Sterling is running for president. He's also running for some kind of record with young hookers that his newscaster wife doesn't know about. She's in New Zealand, he's in San Francisco. She's on vacation with her daughter Dylan. He's on vacation too, only the child he's with isn't one of his.
Stacy's brother, psychiatrist Sanford Sterling is in love with his wife and is more of a father to Stacy's kids then he is. When Dylan is fatally killed by a drunk driver, ... Read More

Rating: - All in all, a good book
I did enjoy this book and I'm glad, because it's one I wouldn't have read if it wasn't one of my book club picks. I voted against it, but luckily I wasn't too disappointed. I liked the people I was supposed to like and didn't like the one I was supposed to not like, so that means the characterization was pretty good.
Mom and daughter are in New Zealand on vacation when daughter is killed in an auto accident. Daughter's twin and friend come for funeral and then the book takes off in a direction I never ... Read More
