Editorial Review: "Oh, Lord!" Gayle jerks the wheel to the right, but too late. "Dylan," she cries as the oncoming car strikes them head on. Within minutes fire and rescue have her out of the car and on the way to surgery, but tragically her daughter Dylan dies in the hospital. Dylan's father can't be located. He's running for the Presidency of the United States and supposedly somewhere on the campaign trail, but actually he's I the arms of a teenage prostitute. Gayle decides to recover in New Zealand to avoid the media, but Nick Nesbitt, television newscaster, senses a story and will stop at nothing to get it.

Average Rating:
Rating: - Picked a stinker
I have to agree with some of the other negative reviews of this book. Poorly written, juvenile in its assumptions, overly simplistic and one dimensional characters. I picked this book based on the fact that it seemed to match some likes in the same categories. Wish I had another book on hand to read. Forced myself to read this and thoroughly did not enjoy it. I think I'll stay away from Ken and Jack in the future!
Rating: - Made me wonder, what if?
I finished this story in record time. While it doesn't keep you guessing too much, I kept wondering what would I do if I was in the situation one of these girls found herself in. Could I walk away from everything I knew and sail off with someone I loved? I hope so, but I wonder.
Rating: - A No-Star Book
I agree with the rest of the negative reviews --- I would give this book ZERO stars if I could. It's so bad, it could be a parody.
Rating: - Engaging and disturbing both at the same time
I enjoyed this book, found it engaging, but disturbing. Sort of a strange thing to say, but that's how I feel.
The affair between the two young women didn't bother me, but some of the actions of the older people in the book, who should know better, bothered me plenty. Do people really act this way?
Sadly, I think the do, some people anyway and that's what disturbed me. That a politician would go to underaged hookers, well yeah, I guess I knew that goes on. Maybe Monica wasn't ... Read More
Rating: - You Never Know What Might Change You
Right from the first sentence I was hooked into this thriller that is not a thriller, this love story that is not a love story, this coming of age story that, well I guess it is a coming of age story. Three young women, two best friends and one suicidal teenager have their lives changed by an accident and a death that happens half a world away.
Taylor's twin sister is in an auto accident with her mother in New Zealand. She dies in hospital, Mom lives. Taylor and best friend Haley fly to New ... Read More
