Editorial Review: Buried deep under the ice of Antarctica is something that interests the U.S. government. Secretly, and in violation of international treaty, a team of scientists and military personnel have been working deep underground to reach it. Lieutenant Commander Malory Lovecraft, an irreverent career officer, has been reassigned to take command of the station. A decorated officer, Lovecraft is considering resigning her commission and trying to make a life outside of the Navy. This tour of duty in the Antarctic darkness is to be her last. Dr. Corky Rivers is no fan of the military. The station's only other woman is aghast at Lovecraft's language, tactics and hat choice. Instantly deciding to dislike the Commander, she slowly comes to appreciate Lovecraft's unique charms. Unfortunately, time might not be on their side when the team finds what it's been looking for. And, even worse, something more.

Rating: - "A Treasure"
I was fortunate, recently,to receive a copy of this book as a gift.
It will sit in a prominent place on my bookcase for a very long time.
I never expected to laugh, cry and be terrified by one story. What a fun book to read.
Hopefully, someday, Ms.Dellacroix will treat us to a sequel. A grateful reader forever.
Rating: - This is the funniest romance I have ever read
The two main characters are tremendously entertaining - this is one of the best books I have read - do not miss it. You only wish the author would write a novel every year with these characters. I could never tire of reading about their adventures. The humor is hilarious and you fall in love with the characters and all their quirks. It's also very, very sexy.
There are a number of terrific surprises throughout the novel that keep you turning the page at a furious pace.

Miss Dellacroix wrote a book. I bought the book.

Icehole is funny, gross, crude, sexy, and a wild ride I recommend. I loved this when I read (and reread) the online version, and I still love the published version (although I miss the hilarious send-up of the Kurt Russell-style sobrero, which alas became a generic black cowboy hat in the book).
We can tell that Commander Malory Quinn Lovecraft isn't going to be the usual protagonist from the moment she's introduced to us, carefully calculating the ballistics of a spitball aimed at ... Read More
Rating: - I don't usually like horror as a genre, but...
this well written novel contains enough good humor and a delicious lesbian love story to keep it compelling from beginning to end. Sort of Xena and Gabrielle meet The Thing via X-Files. It can be read as a send-up of the sf and horror genres, but is, at the same time, a real nail-biting, stomach churning thriller. A great ride. The cocksure lesbian commander of a top secret base under the polar ice instantly raises the hackles of the slightly closeted doctor stationed there and it's an erotic game ... Read More
