Rating:  - parent of a add and odd teenager
This book was recommended by a counselor we bought two copies it pretty much described our child. The book is no magic cure but it gives you a lot of ideas that sure help and you'll see a lot of kids are like yours. I recommend it its not much money and it does help. Good Luck

This book is a very easy read. I was amazed while reading this book at how well this author seemed to know my son (maybe I should be receiving royalties) :). I have changed my views on my son and my own behaviors that increase his disruptive behaviors. This book was a very easy read. It was very insightful and had a lot of useful information when dealing with a defiant child. All of the parenting advise was doable and very adaptive.

The descriptions of the ODD child's view of the world were quite insightful. I also liked the idea of holding children accountable for their actions, something that doesn't seem to happen enough. However, I have a feeling that most parents will balk at the extremes they will have to go to in order to get their child to change.
