Good book. Great illustrations. If they have a newer version, get it, but it's a very large but sturdy book (the pages are oversized so it's a bit bulky). Good information. It's great if you're completely confused about something your teacher says. Usually you can reference it in the book and read all about it.

I am an EMT working on nursing pre-requisites, and I read this book, as well as Anatomy and Physiology for Emergency Care, and Marieb's book on anatomy. This is the best if you take the subject seriously. The large size allows for better graphics, which is important in this field. The text is uniformly excellent. I also like the fact that developmental anatomy (fetal development) is separate, so you can only go to that if you're interested. Lot's of cadaver pics, which are very important in showing ...
