Editorial Review: Sally Lagerquist's review book has been the key to success for thousands of students taking the NCLEX-RN exam. The new 2nd edition of Davis's NCLEX-RN Success is based on the latest official NCLEX-RN test plan, and incorporates the alternative item formats into the test review itself. Not only does this review book bring with it the expertise of an author who has spent 35 years teaching exam prep, but also a money-back guarantee and free consultation with the author for any student who does not pass the exam.

Average Rating:
Rating: - NCLEX-RN
The book is okay. It's a little difficult to navigate thru compared to the other NCLEX books that I have. It has a lot of helpful information in it that I am sure I will need in the future.
Rating: - This book is why I passed the NCLEX-RN
I used four different NCLEX-RN prep books. Davis's is THE BEST book to use. The practice questions in this book most closely mimic the REAL NCLEX questions. The best way to prep for the test is to just do practice questions - thousands of question. Davis's gives you that, plus excellent outlines/chapters on all the different subject areas for content review. Having rationales for both why answers are correct or incorrect is very useful. The best feature is the CD-ROM. It allows you to do thousands ... Read More
Rating: - Don't Buy
Information was there, but in outline format. Hard to read. Hard to follow. There are a lot better books out there. The Saunder's book was a TON better.
Rating: - Difficult to use
There is a lot of information in the book. It covers every topic you will in great detail. Nearly too much detail. The review sections are hard to follow and hard to review from. The graph's are complicated to understand. The outline form they use is just to hard to go by. It all depends on the type of person you are but I would go with a different book all together, like Incredibly Easy.
Rating: - practice questions are poor
The practice questions in the beginning of the book replicate certain areas (thyroidectomy, hernias, GI) and lack in the areas of peds and maternal health. So, the review practice questions should not be used to judge your clinical knowledge in all areas nursing. On the upside, what other study guides lack, this book makes up for them by having nice illustrations with descriptions, good rationales and meds info. Saunders and Kaplan are two books that complement this study guide.
