Rating: - Love it!
This book is great, I especially love the brownie recipe, the baked pancake recipe, the mojito pork, and the green goddess salad dressing. I can't get enough! I have done almost every recipe in the book. My only complaints: I wish it were a bit longer and I wish it would stay open on my counter without having to put something heavy on the binding.
Rating: - Breezy, Fun and Delicious
I bought this book recently, after borrowing it many times, and memorizing at least two of the recipes, from making them so often (Chick's Pea Soup and the apple betty recipe). These recipes really are easy, using easy to find ingredients, and especially good for anyone living alone. The style is bright and fun, and for the most part, the recipes are carefully chosen to step in and fill a need in most categories. There is one inexplicable cookie recipe (2 eggs, but only 1/2 cup of flour? How can ... Read More
Rating: - Delicious and easy
Books on domestic chores like cooking usually inspire take-out instead of whipping out the cooking utensils. Not with this one. The recipes are not intimidating but easy and inviting. I've even grabbed this cookbook and toted it to the grocery with me for inspiration. Have fun with it.
Rating: - Not the greatest
While this cookbook claims to be for "girls on the go", I guess they meant 4 girls - as most of the recipes are four servings. I was looking for a cookbook with one or two servings. Also there are only 6 main entree recipes!! I have tried 2 of them, the wings were okay (but again too many servings) and the spicy pasta (which was WAY too spicy - even for my boyfriend who enjoys spicy food...I don't see too many girls enjoying this). If you are like me and are looking for a healthy and simple cookbook ... Read More
Rating: - Very Sex & The City-ish!
This book is perfect for single women on the go. The recipes are easy and don't require a lot of time. Also, the list of ingredients is not long at all which means you won't be stuck with items you won't use again for months or may have to throw away because they are rotting in the refrigerator.
Its nice that menus are put together for you based on the event i.e. romantic dinner, the morning after, picnics, etc.
I've made the lasagna, meatloaf, and pasta puttanesca and they were ... Read More
