Editorial Review:
Introducing a new series of textbooks that will be indispensable as guides for radiology residents' rotations and study tools for written boards or recertification exams. Each volume of The Core Curriculum focuses on one key area--such as ultrasound, head-and-neck imaging, or interventional radiology--and features key review points and sample board-format questions and answers. The user-friendly presentation includes chapter outlines...tables...bulleted lists...boxed text...margin notes...key review points...hundreds of illustrations...and an easy-to-follow layout. This inaugural volume, The Core Curriculum: Ultrasound, complements and supplements Dr. Brant's ultrasound section in the highly successful textbook, Fundamentals of Diagnostic Radiology, Second Edition.

Average Rating:
Rating: - good call reference
This book is written in a bulleted outline format. I found it most helpful during call. I would go to this particular book for parameters on nonviable pregnancies and similar situations. This was easy to use on call. It may not be the most comprehensive ultrasound text, but there were plenty of pics in the book that are helpful. This is probably a better book for the beginning of residency and call.
Rating: - Quality
This book is excellent. It covers the questions you are afraid to ask and progresses to the details you need to remember for oral boards. It will aslo serve as a good reference book in practice. I'm buying my second copy because my first was stolen.
Rating: - Resident Review
This book is well layed out and concise. It contains lots of pictures - a must for a good radiology text! It's up to date and contains a chapter on MSK ultrasound. Highly recommeded. No wasted time here!
