Rating: - What a good story! Very feel good ending!
There were a lot of good ideas. I enjoyed thinking about several parts of the book for quite awhile afterwards. I enjoyed the ideas about family and family ties through adoption, both formal and informal.
Story brief: Desdemonia runs a catering business. She was adopted by a family of actors when she was a child. Sam was abandoned as a child and is now a successful computer genius with almost no people skills. How Desdemonia and her emotionally open family interact with Sam is wonderful. ... Read More

Albeit the book's computer tech is out of date about 20 years -this book was written in 95. You'll have a wonderful time reading it. It's not a thriller but is a good and touching love story when the couple try very hard to understand each other. If you go to the beach you can read it in a sitting with no problem at all.
Rating:  - characters don't come to life
Desdemona is an odd ball in her family. She comes from a family of theater people, but she doesn't have any of the family talent for acting. Instead, she runs a catering company that helps keep the rest of the family financial stable.
Stark runs a computer security company and first meets Desdemona when he is jilted and Desdemona is trying to collect on her catering bill for a wedding that never happened.

"Trust Me" is another great JAK book! I love how JAK goes out of her way to create unique and funny characters. Here, we have Sam Stark, a high-tech, computer security nerd (reminds me of Bill Gates but sexier of course;-)) and Desdemona Wainwright, a quirky caterer who comes from a fringe theatre-type family.
