****This book has its flaws, but...: ****
1.) It could be better organized: there is info in the text that the good doctor does not include in the gray boxes of ingredients to try or avoid, but overall Dr. Baumann does a lot to demystify the cosmetics counter.

I got this book from the library and I am so impressed with it, I am buying it. I have a problem skin type that has several issues. I am under the care of a doctor for it, but find this book to be an excellent resource. And many of the product recommendations are things my doctor has prescribed, so I know this book gives good advice. I have always had problem skin with acne being my main issue. I've tried a lot of products, but all of them lead to flaky, irritated skin. After a while I gave up and used the "benign neglect" skin care regimen. After reading this book and finding out my skin type I have been able to shop with more confidence and am in the process of implementing the suggestions from the book. So far, so good . . .
