I grew up with Betty Crocker cookbooks. Unlike some of the lesser known cookbooks, I never came across a less than great recipe or one that should have perhaps been tested more carefully. When you use a Betty Crocker cookbook you can be confident that each recipe will turn out just fine.

I got this book off amazon not too long ago after I had checked it out at the library and really liked it. The pictures are great. I tried the easy tiramisu dessert- but I made a few substitutions. Don't. It wasn't that great, could be better as the original. The minty middle treasures didn't look anything like the picture. Didn't taste as good as I was hoping, either. My sister made the swedish nuts and liked it. I'll be making the peppermint bon bon brownies and the peppermint swirled cookies. ... Read More

There is a Gingersnap cookie recipe in this book that is amazing. I make them every holiday season for family and friends and everyone LOVES them and looks forward to eating them year-round. Highly recommended for the Gingersnaps alone!
