Editorial Review: Roland de Tournay is a handsome rogue with a subtle wit and quick tongue. But he meets his destiny when he must rescue Daria of Fortesque-as daring, as clever, as fascinating as he is himself.

Rating: - A long journey to love
I know there are many people that didn't like this book. But I really enjoy it from beginning to end. The two main character roland and Daria develop friendship from the beginning which is refreshing. I did find the book frustrating because the hero spent so much time believing a lie and it's not until the end when he realize it was a misunderstanding. Unlike Coulter's other hero (from song series), this hero is not overally cruel. I also like the pace of the story where the love scenes are evenly ... Read More
Rating: - This is a love story? NOT!!
I despise books like this one. The man is hateful, spiteful, mean, and horrible until the last few pages when suddenly he decides that he loves his mistreated wife to the end of time. He has spent the whole book saying and doing unforgiveable things to his poor loving wife but she of course forgives him everything once he has his epiphany. I rather liked Roland in the beginning but by the end I hated him and would have stuck a knife in his craw and left him in a ditch.
Rating: - Catherine Coulter is the Best
I would read anything this author writes, in fact I have most of her books, read the whole set that this book is part of!

Awesome would be the word that I would use to talk about this book. Roland was kindof an well a miniture beast of burden. But Daria had been sneaky. But all in all it turned out rather well. I just like to know what happened after they got back from Wales.
Rating: - GOOD BUT?
I've read all of the songs and hey, they were pretty good but do these men have to be so cruel. Ok I can handle a little bit of cruelty to keep the story intesting {because ain't nothing worse that a man with no back bone} and hey, I like it ruff sometimes. It just seem likes these men are extreme. So in Ms. Coulters case the men get the chance at playing hard to get, or at least that's how I view it. The women however realize they love their men early on and want to be with them. In some cases I ... Read More
