Rating: out of 5 stars - Good book.
My son lives in Italy and wanted this. Thanks for the speedy delivery of it so I could send it to him.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Too long!
The first half or maybe even three quarters of "Cathedral" is an entertaining read but it is simply over-long.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Disappointing
As a graduate student in history, I spent a lot of time studying modern Irish history. A few years ago I read DeMille's THE LION'S GAME, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Because of this, I was excited to read a book by DeMille that dealt with the issue of Irish terrorism.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The book was too long and slow until the last 100 or 150 pages. The characters, other than the psychotic old man Hickey, were flat and boring. The dialogue was 'blah.' The plot was ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Kept waiting for something to happen
I usually love Nelson DeMille and have devoured most of his other books. He is the rare writer that has that special quality of writing that combines wit, humor and intriguing stories. Rating: out of 5 stars - Huge disappointment
I have read most of DeMille's books and enjoyed them very much. This is the only one without a single compelling character or any interesting dialogue. It was a big disappointment.
