Rating: out of 5 stars - Excellent
Very much an eye opener; so many things I have read separately, this book pulls it all together.

There have been a few author comments I didn't care for; but the factual content out shines that minor inconvenience.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Incredible ...
Increditble detail about a man who ruined so many; his rise and fall and how it was facilitated ... the scary thing is it's been such a relatively short time since ...

It is as advertised ... the definitive biography

This is a BRILLIANT book. I haven't read any other history books since school and I can't put this down. It's a very long book but I'm flying through it because it's just so interesting. Toland manages to convey this crazy period in Europe's history in such an exciting way. I highly recommend it to anyone who ... Read More
